ETI has summed up the results of its activities for the first 9 months of 2024. During the analysed period, 425,949 people were insured, which is 39% more than in the same period in 2023.
The amount of premiums collected is UAH 177,429 thousand, which is 50% more than the amount of premiums for 9 months of 2023. This allows us to form reliable insurance reserves and guarantee the fulfilment of obligations.
Insurance claims amounted to UAH 37,954 thousand, which is 18% more than in the same period of 2023. The growth in insurance claims was driven by an increase in insurance volumes.
During the first three quarters of 2024, the company registered 6018 insurance events for travellers abroad in the amount of UAH 72,150,435.00, which is 26% more than in the same period last year, when 4742 insurance events were settled in the amount of UAH 56,815,710.00.
For the same period of 2024, 38 cases were recorded under insurance policies for travellers in Ukraine for the amount of UAH 117,685 thousand (for 9 months of 2023 - 22 insurance events for the amount of UAH 82,735 thousand).
The three most expensive insured events for 9 months of 2024 occurred to our clients in the USA and Germany, where medical services are very expensive for foreign citizens:
1 343 079,00 UAH. - surgical treatment of a broken arm;
1,322,538.00 UAH. - hospitalisation due to a heart attack, myocardial infarction;
UAH 964,140.00. - hospitalisation due to gangrene, sepsis, amputation of a limb.
All cases were fully indemnified by PJSC ‘ETI’ in accordance with the insurance amounts specified in the contracts. In this regard, it is important to reiterate the need for a reasonable approach to determining the sum insured when concluding an insurance contract.
As at 01.10.2024, financial reserves of ‘ETI’ PrJSC were formed, namely: technical reserves in the amount of UAH 80,080 thousand, equity - UAH 233,396 thousand, and authorised capital - UAH 38,460 thousand, which exceed the solvency ratios established by the Regulator.
Despite the difficult times in our country, the company managed to finish three quarters of 2024 with a net profit after tax of UAH 31,089 thousand.
