The official announcement of amendments to the insurance conditions from June 10, 2020 for travelers within Ukraine

Dear partners and clients!

The insurance company PJSC “European Travel Insurance” informs you by this message that in order to protect the interests of foregners and Ukrainian citizens who are planning tourist and business trips within Ukraine, the insurance conditions have been amended, namely:

1. In terms of medical expenses and accident insurance:

1. 1.1. The risk list of program Aincludesthe risk “reimbursement of medical expenses incurred the diagnosis, outpatient and inpatient treatment of the Insured person in the event of COVID-19 disease”. Reimbursement is carried out within the insurance amount of the policy.
2. 1.2. The risk list of the program Bincludesthe risk “Payment of costs for the further outpatient treatment of the Insured person of the patient COVID-19 for up to 15 days after the expiration of the Insurance Contract”.

We draw your attention to the fact that:

• the living expenses and meal expenses of the Insured person at the time of self-isolation, quarantine or observation during a trip without establishing a diagnosis of COVID-19 or during outpatient treatment of COVID-19 are not covered by the insurance conditions;
• The costs of returning the Insured person to the place of permanent residence after the end of self-isolation, quarantine, observation without confirmation of the diagnosis of COVID-19 or after the end of outpatient treatment or after the end of inpatient treatment without the necessity of the further treatment in the place of permanent residence are not covered by insurance conditions.

2. In terms of financial risk insurance

1. 2.1. An insurance contract with the terms “Trip Cancellation or Interruption” can be concluded at least 14 days before the start of the trip.
2. 2.2. In the list of cases that may be the reasons for trip cancellation or interruption, the “Laboratory-confirmed illness of the Insured person at COVID-19” has been added.
3. 2.3. Observation, self-isolation of the Insured Person, both before and after the start of the trip, due to contact with the patient at COVID-19, without establishing the diagnosis of COVID-19 to the Insured Person, will not be recognized as an insurance event, and, on the contrary, they will be added to exceptions from the list of the insurance events.

The above changes take effect on insurance contracts concluded starting from June 10, 2020
